Employment
School teachers and staff are hired according to the following criteria:
Behavior and Attitude:
Staff should be nationalistic, kind, honest, polite and attentive to details. A level of self confidence must be apparent in addition to responsibility and dedication to work.
Relationship with Students:
Recruited teachers need to have prior experience and should preferably be teaching certified. Teachers should also demonstrate versatility when working with students of different ages and academic abilities, offering them a tailor made curriculum that fits their needs. Teachers should acknowledge student’s personal achievments and strive towards helping theim achieve their personal growth and academic excellence.
Relationship with Staff:
Teachers should be courteous, cooperative and demonstrate a positive attitude when facing day-to-day issues.
Relationship with School as a Whole:
Teachers must respect school system requirements and educational methodology.
Recruited teachers must carry a Diploma from a Syrian or foreign university, if the latter then an equivalent must be provided from the Higher Ministry of Education.
Teachers and staff will continuously engage in training workshops offered by both al-Bashaer School and by other educational parties, where they are given the latest teaching applications.
Teachers are subject to performance evaluations held by their coordinator and department head, to encourage growth and continuity.
